The story
AngelThread® was founded on a simple frustration: antimicrobial claims on most fabrics disappear after a few washes. Topical silver coatings wear off. Quaternary ammonium finishes leach out. For healthcare, childcare and industrial users, that gap between marketing and reality is a safety issue — not a marketing issue.
Our founder spent 25 years across Taiwan, mainland China and global sourcing operations, working with tier-one apparel and technical textile brands. The answer was to rebuild the problem from the fibre up: embed silver, TiO₂ and ZnO nanoparticles directly into the fibre via vapor deposition, so protection lives inside the material — not on its surface.
The technology earned Taiwan patent I538806 in 2016 and has been audited by SGS, ISO 18184:2025, ISO 10993 and AATCC TM100 laboratories. Every shipment leaves our mill with documentation buyers can put in front of their own compliance teams.
